A Child's Prayer

1. Heavenly Father, are you really there? And do you hear and answer ev’ry child’s prayer? Some say that heaven is far away, But I feel it close around me as I pray. Heavenly Father, I remember now Something that Jesus told disciples long ago: “Suffer the children to come to me.” Father, in prayer I’m coming now to thee. 2. Pray, he is there; Speak, he is list’ning. You are his child; His love now surrounds you. He hears your prayer; He loves the children. Of such is the kingdom, the kingdom of heav’n. Hey all sorry its so late we've struggle on a topic. As I was sitting her watching the debate for some reason it just makes me anxious watching them go back and forth. This primary song is actually a song and the first song that comes to mind when i'm in a situation or mind set when i'm uncomfortable, nervous, scared, anxious etc. I love the simple message of just talking to him and asking him if he's there. And the way i interpret the song in the second verse is the Holy ghost answering back letting us know He is there and that He loves us. There is also a scripture that goes with this in D&C 112:10 it says Be thou humble; and the Lord thy God shall lead thee by the hand, and give thee answer to thy prayers.
